the geometry of stress

constant barrage
deluge
inundation
flood
pressure
chaos
all intensifies
refracts and unfolds
in impossible geometric structures of stressors and strictures
slamming me down down down
into a hunched defensive curl;
days days days multiplying and piling
one atop the other
in a haphazard pyramid of lost increments,
hours crashing past and disappearing,
months and weeks writhing like a stream seen in time-lapse;
can't slow this
can't seem to catch a moment
or my breath between barrages
it's all too fast too much too hard
and I simply crave peace...
